NTR: Models

National Time Recorder Company (NTR) models leaflet
The full range of NTR models available, taken from a 1920s brochure. 1) The ‘Clipit’ card-clip recorder. 2) A desk autograph recorder. 3) An autograph recorder. 4) A short case card recorder. 5) A dial recorder. 6) A key recorder. 7) A time stamp machine. 8) A card recorder.

The appearance of autograph and card-clip recorders remained relatively consistent, though both models became less ornate as the century progressed. I have more recently been made aware of a Universal model, an example of which is included on the Photos page. The mainstay of the business was the card recorders, which changed in design over the decades – refer to the Dating page for more details of these changes.

National Time Recorder Company (NTR) dial recorder
The Dey-style dial recorders and Bundy-style key recorders remained unchanged and were only supplied for a limited time, until approximately the 1930s.
National Time Recorder Company (NTR) desktop job timer
A later addition to NTR’s range in the 1930s-40s was the job timer desk stamp model, this one sold by British Time Recorders.
